Thanks everyone

I hope you all have had a wonderful time during the holidays.

It’s time for an update.
My blog has been neglected since september.
I’m sorry about that… Life has just been so busy.

My husband and I had our annual trip back to California in October. We visited good friends, galleries, attended the fundraiser and golf tournament for SCAN and the Norwegian Seamen’s Church.
They’re doing a great job and it has become a tradition for me to donate a painting for the silent auction.

I’ve also had the pleasure to be invited to show some of my paintings at big exhibition (Lions in Skjeberg).

In November, my husband and I travelled to Edinburgh to attend our oldest daughter Ida’s Graduation Ceremony.
We are so proud of her.

In between, I’ve spent a lot of time in the gallery, painting.

I’ve had a fantastic year in the gallery, selling a lot of paintings, commissions and getting invited to exhibitions.

I want to thank all of you:
My husband and daughters for always being there for me, cheering and supporting me.
And thank all of you who have visited me in the gallery, buying my paintings and giving me fantastic feedback.
I couldn’t have done it without you!
THANK YOU.

I hope to see you next year.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Getting ready for Paint Mojo

I've had the pleasure of signing up for Tracy Verdugo's Paint Mojo.
I also bought Tracy's new book, and have been playing around with bright colors over the summer. It's been so inspiring.

I can't wait until class starts on September 24th!

Summer in the Gallery

It's hard to believe , but it's been 3 month since my last blogpost… Sorry about that!

This summer has been great and very busy. I've spent most of my time in the gallery.
I've been very productive and creativity has been in full bloom.

Blue has been my favorite color this summer.

Update and new painting "Lepus"

These past weeks has been so busy.
We had a big celebration for my father-in-law 85th birthday, my parents travelled from Copenhagen to spend a week with us, and I had my official exhibition opening in the gallery. We had a great time and the opening was a great success!

Now it's back to normal and I'm really looking forward to have more time to paint.
I did manage to paint this small painting when I had some spare time in-between the celebrations and the visit from my parents.

"Lepus"
Watercolorpaper and passepartoute in silverframe. 40X50 cm.

Jack

This little guy popped up on my canvas yesterday. He looks so much like our Jack Russell Terrier,  Stevie.

Bastion 5

Great news!
I'm so excited to be able to take my art journey to another level.
My work is now on permanent display in "Det Grunnmurede Galleri" in the Old Fortress Town (Gamlebyen) in Fredrikstad, Norway.
The gallery is a part of the artist community Bastion 5 with four Galleries and a Café.
I'll be sharing the gallery with two lovely and talented artists : Vibeke Åmli and Mette Jerkås.
The building is from 1696 so the surroundings are perfect for art.
