Empty Nest

Just returned home after a week in the UK. Our oldest daughter now officially lives in Edinburgh, Scotland, where she will be studying for a year. She will for sure have the time of her life in the beautiful and friendly city.
Our youngest daughter moved to Trondheim, Norway in the beginning of August, also to go to university. My husband and I are now alone for the very first time in 23 years.
I must admit that I do feel a little sad, but also very proud of them and know they will be okay.

Having a lot of spare time can be a positive thing for my creativity.

Today I have used some of my new Golden fluid acrylics that I bought in an art shop in Edinburgh.

  1. Hello Mette, your work is beautiful. I love it. So rich. I'm sorry to hear about your big girls moving away. Very exciting though that they will be in university..My heart feels very heavy when I'm away from my daughter (She's only 5) I look forward to seeing the art work you produce with more free time.
