Sometimes it’s a challenge to know what to do with the background when nothing seems to show up on its own. So I left it for a day and I came back to it yesterday.
To my surprise I spotted the black and yellow stripes and decided to go with my intuition and create a bee.
And, I remembered to take photos from start to finish.
Watercolor paper and passepartoute. It will be framed in a black frame 50x70 cm.
"Bee Happy"
From start to finish.
It seems like I’ve developed a special relationship, or perhaps a ‘friendsheep’, with sheep these past weeks.
They keep showing up while I’m working on my backgrounds.
He’s not perfect… but I've embraced his imperfections and I now think he's the sweetest thing and truly one of a kind.
Painted on watercolor paper and will be framed in a black frame 50x70 cm (about 20"x28").
This is how he started out.
This little guy is Milo.
He showed up while working on a new background for class.
Time to shine, Milo!
New painting created in Kelly Rae Roberts class.
This time, I remembered to take some photos during the process.
"The Flying Sheep"
From Start to Finish:
This week I've had a really great time in my painting studio. I'm in a good flow.
I've finished three painting this week.
All of them are painted on watercolor paper with passepartoute and black frame 50x70 cm.
Yesterday I had the most amazing experience when I painted this new piece in only one day.
I was working on a background when these four guys showed up unannounced.
I'm so pleased with it!
To have a great imagination is priceless when you work with intuitive painting.
I also made this one earlier this week.
